Agent Trace - desktop daemon(captures coding-agent AI work)

Silent - local-first

Captures AI-assisted work inside coding agents - Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Pi and Hermes - with hashed provenance and zero workflow change. The daemon records locally; nothing uploads without your policy. Choose this package if you use AI inside a coding agent (CLI / IDE).

Install - AI Web Browser Extension

  1. 1. Open the EGL Trace listing on the Chrome Web Store and click Add to Chrome (or Get in Edge, Brave or Arc).
  2. 2. Pin the extension and open its popup to see prompts as they're logged.
  3. 3. Sign in in the popup with the email and password you use on the Mr Q portal. No account yet? Click "Sign up on the Mr Q platform" in the popup or go to portal.qlabresearch.com/signup — free for individuals and students.
  4. 4. Sessions sync to your Mr Q EGL account (optional — sync can be turned off).

Install - Agent Trace

  1. 1. Unzip the downloaded egl-trace-agent.zip.
  2. 2. Run install.ps1 (Windows) or install.sh (macOS/Linux) - needs Deno; the installer prints the one-liner if Deno is missing.
  3. 3. egl-trace init you@company.com 'Your Organisation' - one-time identity.
  4. 4. Wire your harness: egl-trace link claude-code - link codex - link opencode - link pi - link hermes.
  5. 5. Work normally - capture is silent. egl-trace status to verify.
